Waterproof

Moisture silently and consistently destroys buildings. It can cause corrosive structural defects, compromise building integrity and threaten the safety of occupants. Corotop waterproof membranes provide effective protection against moisture and significantly extend the life expectancy of a building.

Wind-tightness

Our facade membranes provide effective protection against wind, which helps to maintain a constant temperature inside the building, increases energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption costs. The wind-tightness of roof membranes also increases the life expectancy of a roof, optimising expenditure.

Vapour barrier

Corotop vapour barrier films protect the roof from excessive dampness and uncontrolled heat escape. They regulate the amount of vapour in the roof cross-section. They work perfectly with Corotop highly vapour-permeable membranes. When installed tightly, they increase the effectiveness of thermal insulation.

Vapour transmission

Our membranes are characterised by very high vapour permeability, i.e., a high diffusion resistance coefficient (Sd). What does this mean? A Corotop Sd 0.02m membrane provides resistance to water vapour equivalent to 2 centimetres of air. Why is water vapour transmission so important? Excessive moisture can cause mould, fungus to appear as well as lead to serious building damage and health problems.

Anti-condensation

On the surface of an ordinary membrane, moisture in the form of small water droplets appears and might penetrate the thermal insulation, reducing its performance. We place an anti-condensation layer on Corotop Power and Corotop X-Tream membranes. This is a special needled nonwoven that absorbs moisture and under the right conditions releases it into the ventilation in the roof covering.
